Public Education Program

The Public Education program entails civic campaigns, community sensitization, awareness creation, advocacy, training and capacity building. This programs gives citizens the capacity to analyze information and make informed decisions, participating effectively in civic processes, voicing concerns on how their affairs are managed and confidently communicating their aspirations and priorities to policy makers.

It creates rich opportunities for citizens to realize their potential, getting actively involved in democratic processes of the community,

imparting them with social skills and civic knowledge; enhancing their attitudinal and behavioral change and leading to assertive, participative and responsible civic behavior. IGI believes that constant interaction between citizens and their government makes each party aware of its rights, responsibilities and obligations and this hastens public accountability.
